Maybe it started with the Kardashians the trend not to enhance your looks as you get older through facial rejuvenation but to follow the latest fashion trend, lets start with the lips.

Young women now are looking to use fillers to plump up their lips, even if their lips are perfect which they would be, the plump lips are a must. How can you possibly have the latest designer clothes and handbag without matching lips? Then you have to look at the teeth, they have to be perfect and brilliant white to add contrast to those lips resplendent in the latest bold colours, yes just chisel your perfectly healthy teeth to stubs and face them with veneers.

The problem we have now is that some young women if they don’t have what they consider to be the perfect smile, the perfect lips, they feel second class and in some cases become obsessed about their looks, they in fact creating a caricature of themselves, without realizing it.

In interestingly though I was watching a documentary on TV this week, about the disappearance of the Neanderthals 40,000 years ago and they presented a perfect reconstruction of how they looked. It was very interesting to note that their facial features were almost identical they all looked the same. Also they all had by todays new standards perfect lips (large), looks like they are starting to reappear, especially in Essex?

Yes we know there are women walking around giving the beauty industry a bad name and maybe putting women off having facial rejuvenation, you know what I mean there looks would go well with a bag of chips. However I can recommend Beauty Elite, why because they are experts in the use of fillers so they can enhance your looks, which will be natural and balanced, not looking like you have been sucking on a lollipop for most of your life!

When considering a facelift of any kind, we suggest the key is to pay attention to what has changed in your appearance over the years.

For instance, ask yourself a series of questions:
• Do you have new jowls?
• Are your cheeks falling down creating ‘sausage lines’ around your mouth?
• Is your skin blotchy and pigmented with age spots?
• Do you have frown lines or hollowness under your eyes?
• Do you have deep grooves creating a frown around your mouth?
These changes can often be treated easily with non-surgical methods. Once you determine your goals, you can have a discussion with us to decide which procedures will suit you best.
Susan Bousfield our founder has all the qualifications, skills and artistic ability to
create a look that is perfect for you and totally natural, a face lift non surgical using threads , fillers and botox, all totally safe and non intrusive, see those wrinkles and lines magically disappear, you will be amazed! Then once the canvass has been prepared Lauren our semi-permanent-make up artiste will complete the beautiful picture.

We can also give you those perfect eyebrows through the process called Micro Blading they will look distinctive and natural. We have many clients who have agreed that the results we have achieved for them have been positively life changing and they have experienced an increase in confidence and self-esteem.

We all like to look our best but sometimes we need a little help, as a family business we will always give you best advice on how to improve your looks and treat you with kindness and care.

Katharine Hepburn

A strong-willed actress, Katherine Hepburn had very much her own style – natural, minimalist and slightly androgynous. This meant a lot of neutral tones and flawless skin that allowed her to wear sheer, natural make-up and still look radiant. To keep her complexion in tip-top condition, she would exfoliate regularly. She would use a mixture of sugar, a tiny amount of warm water and a squeeze of lemon juice massaged into the skin and followed up with a splash of ice-cold water.
Forget the lemon juice our treatments here at Beauty Elite will keep your complexion looking flawless.

Joan Crawford

American actress Joan Crawford didn’t use fancy products to keep her legendary face smooth and taut – she chewed gum in the belief that it firmed up her jaw and help to drain the toxins out from under her chin. She was also religious about her cleansing regime, and would splash her face 25 times with ice cold water after every wash.
If you want a firm jaw, we can achieve that so throw away the gum.

Jane Russell

The secret to Jane Russell’s sexy signature style was simple – she always matched her lipstick to her nail polish. The idea of co-ordinating the two was actually only developed in 1939. Legend has it that Revlon founder Charles Revlon was dining in a posh restaurant when he noticed a woman dabbing her mouth with a napkin. He saw that her nail colour jarred with the shade of her lips and a new beauty concept was born.

Talk to us about our semi-permanent make up and let us do your nails.

Marlene Dietrich

German actress Marlene Dietrich is considered to be one of the greatest actresses of all time, but was also highly prized for her sculptured glamour. She believed in accentuating the natural lines of her face with shading, shaping and contouring. One of her most startling features were her perfectly shaped brows. She achieved this look by shaving them off and drawing them on with kohl, as was the fashion in the 1930s. She also never used mascara on her lower lashes, as she believed it cast a shadow and made her look tired.

If you want perfect eyebrows visit us and talk to Lauren about microblading the look is fantastic and semi-permanent

Marilyn Monroe

Perfect pouts, bedroom eyes, and glowing skin and lustrous hair – oh how we long to be as glamorous as old school Hollywood sirens! From Marilyn Monroe’s beauty secrets to the retro beauty tips of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly we at Beauty Elite reveal the fascinating beauty secrets of the classic stars over our next few blogs.

Greta Garbo

Greta Garbo’s dramatic eye make-up was the inspiration for many a Hollywood starlet – including Marilyn Monroe – and not without good reason. To create the look, she would apply a super-thin layer of petroleum jelly over the eyelids, cover with neutral skin-toned powder all the way up to the brow line and blend a dark shade into the crease for a theatrical, deep-set appearance. She’d also line the upper lid with eyeliner made from a blend of petroleum and charcoal pigment, and finish with mascara. Visit us at Beauty Elite ask for Lauren and let her explain to you how we can give you the Greta Garbo look, using the application of semi-permanent make-up and microbrasion.

Vivien Leigh

Stunning British star Vivien Leigh kept her skin spectacularly beautiful with regular facials. The Gone with the Wind actress was among several high-profile clients of Madame Lubatti, a legendary skincare doyenne who hand-mixed scented lotions and aromatic oils to treat English royalty and society ladies.
Get the look with our facial treatments no need to mix them yourself.

Jean Harlow

Ever wondered where the phrase ‘blonde bombshell’ originated from? Look no further than platinum-haired 1930s starlet, Jean Harlow. Although, she had a rather unorthodox method of obtaining her baby blonde locks – she lightened her hair with a potent mixture of peroxide, ammonia and Lux Flakes (an old fashioned washing powder). We don’t do hair colour treatments but we can give you that Hollywood look.

Sophia Loren

Italian screen siren Sophia Loren was stunningly beautiful in her 1960s heyday, and still is now. Her secret? Olive oil. Sophia’s Mediterranean diet ensured that she was able to include at least two tablespoons of the stuff in her food every day, while routinely rubbing a small amount into her skin kept her complexion glossy and moisturized. She even added a few capfuls into a hot bath for a nourishing skin soak. We prefer to use olive oil for cooking but we don’t knock the old ways. Pop in and see us we have other more effective solutions.

Dame Helen, the Oscar-winning actress often lauded for her natural beauty at 72, has disclosed she has had her eyebrows tattooed on, in a move she has said makes a “huge difference” to her appearance.

The tattoos, which have become increasingly popular in recent years, see individual hair strokes lightly drawn in semi-permanent ink, to give realistic-looking eyebrows to frame the face without reapplying a pencil, powder or gel each day.

“I’ll tell you what I had done recently, which I love – I got my eyebrows tattooed,” said Dame Helen, according to a newspaper.

“I was fed up of my brows barely being there and when one of my girlfriends got it done, I thought that they looked great.

“They’re very lightly and delicately done – but it means that when I get up in the morning and I have no make-up on, at least I have eyebrows. It’s made a huge difference.”

Dame Helen, face of beauty brand L’Oreal, has become a prominent advocate for older women, famously insisting her photographs are not excessively touched-up.

In 2016, she said she had begun to pay more attention to her eyebrows after playing the Queen on stage for theatre show The Audience.

“I don’t think the Queen has ever touched them,” she said then. “She’s got quite present eyebrows. So when I was making myself up as the Queen I thought: ‘Oooh, that’s actually quite an interesting look.’”

In 2015, a poll by the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology found women spend an average £200 per year on eyebrow grooming. Tattooing techniques such as microblading can last up to 2-3 years.

Semi-permanent tattoo can save time with eyebrow pencils and powder.

Of her approach to make-up as she has aged, Dame Helen has previously said: “I think we get stuck with a look, particularly when we get older. We forget that you can experiment. It’s not the end of the world – you can always wipe it off again.

“The irony is that – the older you get – the less you care. I think: ‘God, when I was young, and probably had much better skin, I wouldn’t dream of going out without mascara.’

“Now I really don’t mind. I mean, if you’re taking your dog for a walk at eight in the morning it doesn’t really matter.”

So if you want to look like Dame Helen Mirren then pop into Beauty Elite and ask for Lauren she is our Microblading and Semi-Permanentmake up  expert .

There’s a new (or newish) option for lifting and tightening sagging facial skin without going under the knife. There is a new variation of a once-popular procedure, called a thread lift, making the use of temporary, absorbable sutures a viable option for those who want to achieve similar results of a traditional facelift without the surgery or downtime.

How Does a Thread Lift Work?

A thread lift is exactly what it sounds like. “Using absorbable sutures, made from biodegradable polymers frequently used in medical devices, we at Beauty Elite can lift and re-contour the mid- and lower face. The sutures are inserted into the skin and can instantly tighten and lift problem areas with volume loss like the cheeks, jowls, lips and neck, while stimulating the body to build collagen in the area where the sutures are placed. Attached to the fine threads are tiny cones, small umbrella like attachments that lift and tighten from underneath the skin while simultaneously causing inflammation, which helps to stimulate collagen growth over time.

How Have Thread Lifts Changed?

The thread lifts of the past were also made of barbed sutures that were used to life the brows and the cheeks. The old thread lifts were challenging to work with and were limited on how they could lift the skin. “The biggest problem with the thread lifts used in the late ’90s and early 2000s is that they had to be anchored into the scalp, temple and brow region. The knots for anchoring had to be tied carefully in order to not have the suture release from the anchor site, and the suture was permanent, making any further surgery later in life more challenging.
The newer technology is made of absorbable suture material, so they don’t need to be anchored to deep tissue. The new threads are fully absorbable, making it an absorbable suture lift, not a thread lift. They can also be lifted in two directions, which results in a more three-dimensional look. The old procedure required over pulling of the skin to get a good result, making the downtime several days and not too different from what is now called a mini-facelift.”

Thread Lift vs. Fillers

So, how does the new and improved thread lift hold up against the popular “liquid facelift?” A thread lift procedure takes as little time as a treatment using a combination of fillers (about an hour) and recovery time is just one or two days. Results will vary, but can last anywhere from 18 months to a few years and additional threads can be used at a later time to maintain results. Because the cones continue to stimulate collagen, the results continue to improve over time. However to achieve optimal results we recommend its best to combine procedures.

“People are queer, they’re always crowing, scrambling and rushing about
Why don’t they stop someday, address themselves this way?
Why are we here? Where are we going? It’s time that we found out
We’re not here to stay; we’re on a short holiday
Life is just a bowl of cherries
Don’t take it serious; it’s too mysterious
You work, you save, you worry so
But you can’t take your dough when you go, go, go”

Yes we are all on a short holiday but there is no reason as we become older that we shouldn’t always look our best, and many of us that care do invest our dough in the way we look, before we go, go, go.

We like to wear the latest fashion accompanied by the best accessories, so why should we ignore the possibility of improving our looks. There are many proven ways of improving our looks, winding back time and looking younger
and Beauty Elite are the experts. Lets look at dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers if you want to look young again this is one of the main treatment’s that can get you there, and these are the benefits.

Dermal fillers can be used to fix a variety of concerns related to facial aging, including:

  • Adding volume and smoothing out the deep creases that run from the nose to the mouth
  • Plumping thin lips and smoothing out vertical lines around the edges of the lips.
  • Augmenting cheeks to enhance their shape, often restoring youthful fullness.
  • Filling out depressions (hollows) under the eye area.
  • Making indented scars from acne or chicken pox more even with surrounding skin.

Then once you have completed the initial Dermal Filler treatments you can complement your look with Semi-Permanent makeup.

Contact Beauty Elite today and for you life could also be a bowl of cherries.

What is it really with us women and our appearance? Do we want to look younger or just not look older? When we were children we wanted to be older, that’s why we’d answer, “I’m seven and a half.” But we didn’t think about wanting to look older

However, at about 35, we start seeing the first signs of looking older, as, stray, gray hairs began sprouting at our temples.

At 60 or before many of us dye our hair, but some of us after time may let our real colour grow out and let the grey take over. You may have also got tired of hearing a wolf whistle, turning around and shocking the life out of some young guy who thought he was going to get the attention of a young chick only to find an old lady glaring at him. Some people actually prefer being a “Q-Tip” (that’s an appropriate name to describe a person with white hair) because the wolf whistles will stop and one becomes officially invisible to the wolves, maybe it is a good thing?

Well personally I refuse to grow old gracefully and hand my life over to nature I always have and always will want to look my best, and I have a little help from my friends at Beauty Elite. I had considered going under the knife but to me that was to drastic and to be honest a little frightening.

Have you seen Dolly Parton recently? Yes she looks great but when you have a cosmetic budget the size of NASA then anything possible? The only problem is that when she sings you cant see her lips move!

I am regular client of Beauty Elite and Sue Bousfield the genius’s that she is has transformed my look. I know I now have the face of a women 15 years younger and I occasionally still get wolf whistles, and yes I do dye my hair, I have semi permanent make up done by Lauren and I wear the latest fashions.

The transformation has also helped in so many other ways my husband shows a renewed interest in me (we have been married 45 years) and I have a new circle of friends who are also likeminded to look their best. It has been life changing I have renewed confidence and I have a great quality of life.

And some times I even wolf whistle myself!

I highly recommend Beauty Elite you should pay them a visit.

This is the story of princess Sera and her quest for immortality and beauty

Princess Sera woke with a Start it had crept into her bed, on her home planet Zecicula 5 these pesky little arachnids (who liked a cuddle) were protected by the Homogins the mystical cult that worshipped “it that has no name” well I suppose someone has to.

Today was a special day for the Princess she had been waiting for this day for 200 years, it was the day she would be bathed in the elixir of youth, a day that would secure her marriage to her love King Xhut, the day she would become immortal. It s one thing to live for hundreds of years but is does take its toll on your looks.

There was a tap on her state-room door, yes this could lead to a joke, but lets pass on that. The door opened and her handmaidens entered to prepare her for her transformation, she had to be exfoliated from head to foot using live Bezabobs. Their name roughly translated means (We who eat dead skin until we drop) quite literally that’s what they do, they eat the dead layer of the skin and when they are full, they drop. The problem is this process can take up to 6 months, as they are slow eater’s, so a little patience is required. Yes of course there are easier ways of exfoliating but apparently using the Bezabobs is both erotic and pleasurable, and reserved for Princesses as Bezabobs only reproduce every 1000 years so they are very rare, and don’t come cheap!

Lets move ahead, 6 months have passed, Princess Sera is now entering the great hall of Xmiru where she will be bathed by the Nuns of Nee in the elixir of youth and be transformed into a young girl again, all her wrinkles will disappear like the magic it is, and she will be beautiful for ever. The thousands of courtiers applaud as she makes her appearance and cheer as Princes Sera slides gently into the rippling pool assisted by her handmaidens.

Then a blue coloured mist starts to invade the hall, the floors starts to vibrate and the pool bubbles and pops dramatically, the transformation has begun. The Nuns of Nee are chanting, the palace drummers are drumming; it is a site to behold, but then Princess Sera lets out a piecing scream, the pool is emptying, she cries, “help me”, everyone is aghast how could this be happening?

Princess Sera’s home planet was technologically far more advanced than Earth but some how they could never get to grips with the plumbing, though over many millennia they had tried, the pool was leaking. Princess Sera was now in a quandary her body had been transformed and was young again but her face, ughhhh, she ran out the Great hall in despair and disappeared back into her state room with her handmaidens close behind. Princess Sera was never going to be able to marry her King now, or was she?
